Retro Flowers Quilt Along

I am so happy to report there is a quilt along being hosted by Megan of City Stitches and Bianca of Sweet Diesel Designs for the Retro Flowers Quilt!  If you’ve been wanting to make this quilt, but need that little push to keep yourself going, then this is just the thing!  I had been thinking about a quilt along myself, but was only too happy to hand over the reigns when Megan emailed me with her idea.  Having someone else walk you through the steps can be so much more helpful than me, as you will get a different perspective.  Sometimes that can be just the thing to make it click!

The quilt along begins April 2nd with Templates/Cutting on Bianca’s blog and there will be prizes!  Head over to Megan and Bianca’s blogs to read all the details.  There is a Flickr “Support Group” and of course a button (above).

You will need to have a copy of the pattern, as they will not be giving templates or explicit pattern details.  But before you rush out and buy a copy, maybe you’d like to try your chance at winning one?  Just leave a comment on this post and I will choose 5 lucky commenters this weekend.  Tomorrow Jill of Made on Main Street (who makes and sells the templates for this pattern) will also be hosting a giveaway for acrylic templates.  While the acrylic templates aren’t required for this pattern, they do make life a whole lot easier.  I honestly can’t recommend them enough.

I am SO excited to see all of the lovely Retro Flower quilts that get made.  I will be judging and picking one of the winners for the prizes.  And I know it’s going to be a hard thing to do.  I have loved seeing the quilts that have popped up so far!  It’s such an amazing feeling to see all of these beautiful quilts created from a pattern I designed.  I know curves can seem “scary” but they don’t have to be with the right tools and instructions, so if you’ve let curves hold you back, I hope this quilt along will be just what you need to conquer that fear.  Be sure to visit Megan and Bianca’s blogs for more info!
